Solar Movie Theater

Want to have a smaller footprint without sacrificing your favorite activities like a regular trip to the movies?

The Sol Cinema, a project funded by the media arts charity Undercurrents, is the world’s smallest solar-powered movie theater. Made from a converted caravan, the theater uses four large lithium-ion batteries that are charged by two 120W solar panels. Movie theater can accommodate 8 adults or 12 children for a unique cinematic experience.

Boasting a library complete with a variety of environmental films, the Sol Cinema aims to raise awareness about solar power and spread an eco message.
