Duxbury Enters Service Agreement for Solar Farm at Capped Landfill

A 600,000-kilowatt solar farm on the town’s capped landfill moved closer to fruition Monday with the signing of a service agreement with contractor American Capital Energy-Duxbury Solar LLC.

the solar farm on the town's capped landfill.

ACE-Duxbury Solar will install, operate and maintain the solar farm while the town reaps the benefits of buying energy to power the new police station on Mayflower Street for at least the next 20 years.

Town Manager Richard MacDonald and Alternative Energy Committee Chairman Jim Goldenberg announced the signing of the Energy Management Services Agreement at Monday night’s selectmen’s meeting.
