MANISTEE COUNTY -- Contractors Building Supply Solar is taking part in a project with The Dark Horse Brewing Company that will create the first solar powered brewery east of the Mississippi River.

CBSi Solar has been installing solar electric panels for the company and is helping with its energy demands and monitoring.

Dark Horse Brewery is expected to continue expanding their company and CBSi Solar hopes to help in the process.

CBSi Solar Technology Engineer, Devon O’Shea says he’s honored to be a part of the project. He believes The Dark Horse Brewing Company has the ability to reach out to the public in terms of beer but also show they care about what their company looks like and how they grow in the future.

The Dark Horse is purchasing more than 140 Michigan-assembled solar panels with this project.
