  • It's the first pro football stadium in the United States to achieve gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
  • The stadium has more than 1,100 solar panels, which provide 375 kilowatts of electricity, roughly 10 percent of the total electricity demand on game day.
  • A 27,000-square foot "green roof" adorns the top of the suite tower, planted with grasses and native plants. The roof soaks up rainwater and grows herbs for stadium food.
  • Recycled water, brought in through purple pipes, is used in all toilets and to irrigate the playing field, instead of potable drinking water. Plumbing fixtures are low-flow, 40 percent more efficient than building codes require.
  • Roughly 40 percent of the lighting in the stadium will come from high-efficiency LED bulbs.
